Meron is an Ethiopian-born, Texas-raised Graphic Designer and recent graduate from UT Dallas’ Arts, Technology, Communication and Media program. Her understanding of how socio-cultural spheres of influence have impacted our lives in subtle ways led her to join the American Institute of Graphic Arts UTD Chapter while designing for the Habesha Student Union as a Board member to help visually shape the Ethiopian diaspora voice on campus. This combination of sociology and design was refined under her Critical Media Studies specification with additional marketing & advertising work experience at the Texas Music Office of the Governor and a custom clothing print shop for companies all around Dallas. Whether it’s creating merchandise or designing digital assets, she has the commitment and skills to bring any concept to reality. Since graduating, Meron has worked with Reliant Energy under WALO while continually expanding her skills in branding, UX/UI, and print production.
